This song is a tribute to the men and women who have served our country for freedom.
What’s old is new again: Rock band Newport Electric makes no attempt to hide their 60’s and 70’s influences.
Even their name is a tribute to a monumental moment in rock history (July 25, 1965…Google it!).
Their brand of rock reminds listeners of classic artists like Springsteen, Tom Petty, Rolling Stones etc yet they manage to make the music their own and sound fresh and current.
With a strong emphasis on lyrics, their sound gets your toes tapping and your mind turning at the same time.
Hailing from London Ontario, the winners of the local 2019 “Rock Band of the Year” have released two albums to date: “So it goes” (2015) and “Thin Wild Mercury” (2018), both earning fabulous reviews and airplay across the country.
They are currently recording their third record scheduled for release in late 2020.
Their motto is “Working Hard to be Your Second Favourite Band”, but after a few listens they might just be your first.
