British singer-songwriter SAPPHIRE has revealed her poignant new single ‘call u mine’, the first release from her upcoming EP.
Produced by Cashybear, the song sees SAPPHIRE’s angelic vocals gliding softly over orchestral strings and minimalistic beats.
The ambient pop track is flooded with emotion and heartfelt lyricsm, demonstrating SAPPHIRE’s authentic artistry.
SAPPHIRE shares: “I really wanted this song to mimic the feeling of falling in love – that warm fuzzy feeling that we’ve all experienced in some way.
But even though the production mirrors that feeling, the lyrics explain how it’s not always happily ever after.
I think ‘call u mine’ has really given me an opportunity to go back to my roots, taking inspiration from some of my idols like Carly Simon and Carole King.
I’ve always felt like their songs came from the heart, which I’m hoping is how people will feel when they listen to this song.”
Pop ballad ‘call u mine’ follows on from SAPPHIRE’s recent single ‘Repeat’, which received support from the likes of Songwriting Magazine, POPMUZIK, CloudKid and Lock Magazine amongst others.
Boasting nearly 600K subscribers on YouTube, this emerging songstress is already making waves, and we can’t wait to hear more from her in 2022.
